TTrioreau
Hervé Trioreau
Biography
The propositions of TTrioreau are registered in a reflection of the nature of an urban network. His installations act on the structure of the construction space and produces displacements and dislocations, which perturb our perception. These installations refer in a political sense to the normal character of architecture, the submission of towns to the market's demand.
His work concentrates on a dissection of urban intervals spaces, the articulation between the interior and the exterior, private and public spaces, between art and architecture.
Sensitive to the history of urban and social utopias, TTrioreau creates his work in situ, and principally outside of the gallery space.
TTrioreau concentrates on the analyses of the structure of urban material. His interventions into an actual architectural context are often radical and contrary to established ideas on the role of the construction and its sense of domain. Within his system of transformation the inside and the outside no longer represent two relative notions, as well as the rapport between the whole and the details, between the space real and the space imaginary : here, where we build, we demolish all at the same time, the town and its buildings are the variables submissive to the logic of the market. The buildings lose their prestigious character of architectural creation to become simply a good occasion for the investment of capital, at the moment that they no longer bring us anything, the investment moves away, leaving traces of these derelict houses behind them. Only the documents and the models will remain as witness to the manipulations of the market.
Investing in these spaces, TTrioreau reveals the production of abnormal structures, or irregularities, which emanate from a basis of urban normalisation. The architecture is only static because of the identity it creates - forces upon itself. Through proposing an alternative view, the installation inscribes itself as a polemic process. It questions our confidence in the structural solidity of the building, its permanence and immobility, to describe it as an interval, a passage or a transition.
The work of TTrioreau is inscribed in the consideration of the nature of the urban infrastructure. His propositions interact on the structure of the constructed space. These propositions create displacements, which perturb our perception, and, in a political observance, highlight the normal character of architecture. Their work takes place within urban intervals. It establishes junctions between the rapports of the interior / exterior.http://www.next5minutes.org/n5m/viewperson.jsp?personid=3015
